Dear Parent/Carer

 

 

Book Fair

 

 

Just to let you know that our annual book fair will operate during week beginning Monday March 3rd to Thursday March 6th.  Books will be on sale in the main hall from 3.00 – 3.30 on these days.  The children will each receive a £1 token to celebrate World Book Day (6th March) which can be redeemed at the book fair.  To help get into the spirit of things they may come also come dressed as a character from a story book.  We are also looking forward to the visit by the mobile library service on this special day.

We now have a junior art and craft club which will meet on Wednesdays (starting tomorrow).  Mrs Hawkridge will be organising this activity.  All junior children are welcome. 

 

 

It is important that you check that a particular club is meeting as teachers occasionally attend meetings and courses after school.

 

 

Dress as you please

 

 

Thankyou for your donation, we raised £150 to send to Fermin.

 

 

 

Eggs Factor

 

 

Many of the children have been auditioning for a place in the ‘Eggs Factor’ competition!  The final will take place on Wednesday 19th March at 6.30pm.  Please come along and enjoy the children’s performance (more information will be available soon).

 

 

Easter Egg Competition

 

 

Our annual Easter Egg Competition will be held on Wednesday 19th March.  Children are invited to decorate a real egg and bring it to school on the day.  Wherever possible the egg should be the children’s own work.  There are prizes for everyone that takes part.

Booking holidays

 

 

Could parents of Year 6 children note that the SATs examinations will take place from Monday 12th May to Friday 16th May 2008.  Children in year 6 should not take holidays during this week.  Any parents taking a holiday during term-time may be subject to a fixed penalty notice as set out by the local authority.

 

 

100 Club

 

 

Once again numbers are on sale for our 100 club which will be drawn on Thursday March 20th .  These are available form the school office at a price of £1 each.

 

 

Out Of School Club

Chair of Governors
